Steamed Macaroni Schotel

I’ve been challenged by my English teacher, Hank, to have English post in this blog. Haha.. Even I’m not really confidence, I decided to make it. At least to encourage myself. Pardon my grammar. Experience is the best teacher, isn’t it? Glad if you could understand what I’m trying to talk about haha.

The easiest way to start English post is by this steamed macaroni schotel recipe. One of the most simple recipe I’ve ever tried. So effortless. I used to make it in a large portion, keep it in refrigerator, then eat it anytime I want or take a portion for breakfast at office.

Rainy season has coming... Having a lot of food stock is better, right? Don’t let your stomach empty :D

Ingredients:
  • Macaroni 200gr (2 handfuls)
  • Water 500ml
  • Oil 1/3 teaspoon
  • Plain milk 500ml
  • Smoked beef 150gr
  • Egg 1pcs
  • Garlic 3pcs
  • Cheddar cheese 40gr. Shred it (you can skip it if you want)
  • Butter 1spoon
  • Salt 1/3 teaspoon
  • Sugar ½ teaspoon
  • Pepper ½ teaspoon
  • Corn flour 1 ½ teaspoon + 30ml water

How to:
  1. Boil water. Put oil into it. Put macaroni into it. Wait until the macaroni well cooked. Drain the pasta.
  2. Mince garlic. Mince smoked beef.
  3. Heat the butter. Put minced garlic into it. Wait until it smells good.
  4. Put minced smoked beef into it. Wait until it smells good.
  5. In a large bowl, mix the pasta + milk + egg + stir fried garlic & smoked beef + cheese + salt sugar pepper + corn flour. Mix them well. You can add cheese onto it if you want. Taste check.
  6. Steam it for 20minutes. Tadaaa!!
